Hestercombe comprising 50 acres of gardens has been developed over 3 centuries. The famous Edwardian gardens have been restored to their original Gertrude Jekyll and Edwin Lutyens design and are grade 1 listed by Heritage England. Monty Don noted the garden as having many features of the traditional Islamic Paradise Garden.
The visit includes a 2 hour tour, at mid-day, by a knowledgeable guide for those interested.
