Virtual Spring Show 2020 – Children’s Classes – A miniature garden

The St. Mary’s school children’s entry for the miniature garden is, of course, unfinished, because there were no children in school! The week before, the gardening club had made the ‘people’ by sowing cress seeds into an egg case. They then  placed them on the ‘football ground’ made of moss. Virtual Spring Show 2020 – Horticulture Division

The Spring Show may have been cancelled but exhibitors had been preparing months in advance. The following are some of the items which would have been displayed. Bridport 2020 Spring Show – CANCELLED

Because of the restrictions and concerns about the coronavirus the Show Committee have regretfully cancelled the Spring Show. However the Teddy Bear Challenge continues and the Five line stanza on ‘Our planet’ will be judged. Keep your Jam, Jelly, Pickled Vegetables and Mature Chutney for the Summer Show, and imagine how delicious your Marmalade will be by the next Spring Show! See the Show page for details.

2019 Summer Show – A Success

On the day of the Show the United Church Hall in East Street is always a delight with the scent and colour of flowers, the wonderful vegetables large and small and all the fruits of the labour of Bridport Gardening Club members and friends over the summer.
