This year the National Garden Scheme are running a number of Special Event Garden openings in Dorset and in the South West, which I hope might be of interest. These are private gardens that are opening on a private pre-ticketed basis for a limited number of people and are open days which may include a talk by the head gardener or owner, a guided tour of the gardens and grounds, light refreshments, a lunch with wine or an evening of music in the garden. These gardens are private and otherwise not open for us, they are all exceptional gardens and some are of particular historic interest.

5m E of Shaftesbury. Take A350 towards Warminster from haftesbury. Turn R at 1st turning outside of Shaftesbury, signed Wincombe & Donhead St Mary. At Donhead St Mary, turn R at T-junction. 1st house on L opp tel box.
