Broadclyst, Exeter

Killerton, owned by the National Trust, is an 18th century house, garden and park with spring flowering magnolias and rhododendrons.
The celebrated nurseryman John Veitch laid out the grounds following the principles of Capability Brown and Humphrey Repton with whom he collaborated on other estates. John’s son, James Veitch commissioned plant hunters to bring back new species of trees and shrubs many of which were planted at Killerton making it one of the first arboreta to boast trees from every continent except Antartica.
