The garden designed in the height of the Victorian era surrounds the Neo-Gothic house designed for the Gibbs family.
There are formal terraces with perennials and bedding plants, the newly restored Rose Garden and the intriguingly named ‘Paradise’ a collection of specimen trees from around the world.
The grounds contain over 40 Champion Trees significant for their height, age and girth. An orangery, cut-flower garden and Kitchen garden complete the grounds.
