Pam Cant and fellow creative members of the Gardening Club were once again lucky enough to be allocated a tree to decorate at the United Church Christmas Tree Festival. The theme was “Creatures You Might Find Hiding in Your Garden“. It was a magnificent display with a wide variety of creatures including ladybirds, hedgehogs, birds and insects. They raised £50 to donate to the Perennial Charity who help horticulturists in need.
Sadly Pam has decided to step down as the coordinator of this creative team. We would like to thank her for dreaming up new themes, applying for allocation of a tree and for gathering together the team. They have provided so much pleasure with the rich assortment of knitted and fabric items … especially the vegetables!
Meanwhile we hope that someone will consider leading this initiative in what has become a festive tradition for the Gardening Club. It is fun and contributes to a worthwhile cause. If anyone is interested please contact the Co-Secretary Sibyl Gale via bridportgardeningclub@gmail.com.
