The Melplash Horticultural Society are delighted to open entries for their 2022 Garden & Allotment competition. Judging will take place on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th June and the judges this year are Tim and Sibyl Gale (Large Garden and Overall competition winners in 2021) and Jackie Seogalutze, a member of the Horticulture committee.
The competition is open to all gardens and allotments located within 12 miles of Melplash Church. The competition is free to enter and the only stipulation is that you don’t employ the services of a gardener for more than 8 hours per week.
There are super prizes on offer this year thanks to competition sponsors, WM James & Co and Chedington Compost.
1st – £40 WM James & Co voucher
2nd – £20 WM James & Co voucher
3rd – £10 WM James & Co voucher.
Chedington Compost will award special prizes of compost to the first placed winners of each class.
Small Garden: 10 x 20kg bags
Medium Garden: 15 x 20kg bags or 1/2 bulk bag
Large Garden: 1 big bulk bag
Allotment: 1 big bulk bag
The Overall Garden Winner will also receive a £20 WM James & Co voucher.
